On 24 October, a mini-sculpture "Guide" was unveiled in Uzhhorod, dedicated to all tourist support staff, guides, and mountain guides.
The sculpture was unveiled in memory of the guides who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war (Taras Haiduk, Ivan Divynets, Bohdan Khodanych) and in honour of the guides-warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are defending the Ukrainian state: Mykhailo, Ihor, Vladyslav, Ruslan, Mykhailo, Anatolii, Fedir, Mykhailo, Kostiantyn, Orest, Andrii.
The prototype for the mini-sculpture was Taras Haiduk. The figure is installed on a functional bicycle parking lot, which is made in the shape of the Carpathian Mountains (symbolising all six two-thousand-metre high peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians), and the guide is on the highest peak, which is reached by a ladder with eight rungs. The latter symbolise the eternity of gratitude and remembrance.

Location - Olbracht Street, the square in front of the UzhNU Botanical Garden. The date of the installation is symbolic, as Taras Haiduk was born on the same day - 24 October 1990.
The event was attended by representatives of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, tourism support specialists and relatives of the guides.
