The National Tourism Summit in Ivano-Frankivsk brought together heads of relevant departments of city councils and regional state administrations, as well as representatives of communities and businesses, to summarise the results of crisis management in the hospitality sector in 2022-2024.

The event was attended by Liubov Koguch, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

Under During the panel discussions, industry experts discussed, among other things, the challenges and opportunities of inclusive tourism, the protection of nature and cultural heritage, as well as the relevance and prospects of medical tourism in Ukraine.

A barrier-free map was also presented in Ivano-Frankivsk: Tourism, developed by DART together with the LUN City NGO. The map shows tourist and socio-cultural sites where steps have already been taken to ensure free access for people with limited mobility https://lun.ua/misto/barrier-free/dart

Currently, about 600 objects from 7 regions of Ukraine are marked on the map. Among them are 70 hotels, most of which are located in the Zakarpattia region

In addition to hotels, the map provides information on the accessibility of parks, museums, cafes, shelters, medical facilities and even libraries and cultural centres. The project was presented in time for the winter holidays so that travellers could freely use the services available at these locations when planning their trips.
