The three-day World Travel Market 2024 with the participation of representatives of the tourism industry from 184 countries has ended in the capital of the United Kingdom. Ukraine's stand was represented by Zakarpattia, Kyiv and Kharkiv.
The Ukrainian delegation included Marianna Gotra, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Maryna Radova, Head of the Tourism and Promotions Department of the Kyiv City State Administration, representatives of the Department of International Cooperation of the Kharkiv City Council and the Association of Hotels and Resorts of Ukraine.

More than 50 panel discussions were held during the forum, with the participation of about two hundred speakers from different continents of the world. The Ukrainian delegation showcased the country's tourism potential under the slogan "Ukraine is here", which reflects the belief of Ukrainians in the transformative power of travel to build bridges of understanding and solidarity between peoples and nations. Representatives of the tourism industry from the USA, the UK, Poland, Croatia and Slovakia were most interested in Ukraine's stand.

"It's nice to see Ukrainian partners from different parts of the world. Special thanks for the support of our countrymen who also visited World Travel Market. Despite the war, foreign tourists continue to come to Ukraine, including for volunteering purposes. So we told the guests about the potential of different regions, including Transcarpathia, where special attention is currently paid to the health sector and MICE tourism," said Marianna Gotra.
It should be noted that WTM London is a global centre for the exchange of travel services, which annually brings together the global travel industry community, providing exhibitors with a platform to present their capabilities and prospects. In 2024, about 4,000 representatives of the tourism industry represented their countries at the exhibition. The event was once again held without the participation of a delegation from the Russian Federation, which was expelled from the World Tourism Organisation in 2022.
