The three-day international tourism exhibition ITB Berlin is taking place in the German capital. The consolidated stand of Ukraine is represented by Kyiv, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Rivne and Zakarpattia, as well as the Ukrainian Hotel & Resort Association, in addition to the State Agency for Tourism Development.
A separate stand of Transcarpathia, in particular, presents promotional printed and video products translated into the languages of the European Union.
"We continue to introduce the world to the potential of the tourism sector in Zakarpattia. In Berlin, we presented tourist maps of our region, information on health and recreational facilities, videos of the most popular locations and other promotional products dedicated to the tourist magnets of Zakarpattia Oblast," said Marianna Gotra, Head of Tourism and Resorts Department of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
ITB Berlin is the world's largest travel trade fair, attended by hotels, tourist boards, tour operators, system providers and airlines. The event has been held annually in March since the mid-1960s and presents tens of thousands of tourism exhibits from more than 180 countries.
