What do you know about the winning winemaker?
Winemaker Christian Shosh is 27 years old and continues the work of his grandfather, the famous Transcarpathian winemaker Karl Shosh. The Shosh Family Wine Cellar winery produces its wines with "minimal intervention" and uses natural ("wild") yeast.

Christian's grandfather, Karlo Karlović Šoš, is a third-generation winemaker. His wine cellar is located in the village of Kidöş. Karl Šoš's family grows grapes on a 7.5-hectare plot on the southern slope of the mountain.
The Shosh family winemakers follow traditional techniques in the production of wines, aging them in oak barrels. Carlo Schosch and his grandson Christian follow old and proprietary recipes to make wine.
