The new train schedule for 2024 includes Ukrzaliznytsia appoints 14 new flights: 11 domestic and 3 international. In addition, 19 domestic and international flights will be improved, and new connections for the regions will be added
Among the key updates are the international direction:
- the launch of a new train No. 119/120 Dnipro - Chełm with a convenient connection to Warsaw, which speeds up the journey to the Polish capital by 4 hours compared to the connection via Przemysl;
- development of a hub connection through Chop: the new international trains Chop-Vienna and Chop-Prague connect with a number of trains in Ukraine.
A number of domestic routes within Ukraine have also been designated, including:
- No. 193/192 Kryvyi Rih - Yasinia, which will run every other day and will connect Kryvyi Rih with the Carpathians for the first time.
- No. 345/346 Uzhhorod - Chernivtsi, which will run daily and will restore the historic direct connection between Zakarpattia and Bukovyna via the popular ski resort of Slavske.
- No. 28/27 Kyiv - Mukachevo, included in the schedule for peak dates, will connect the capital with Slavske and Transcarpathia with a new daytime service.
- No. 145/146 Sumy - Rakhiv will connect the north with the ski resorts of Prykarpattia and Zakarpattia.
- No. 365/366 Lutsk - Rakhiv will allow residents of Lutsk and Rivne to get connections to Morshyn, Dolyna, Kalush, Frankivsk, Yaremche, Bukovel, and Vorokhta. Lviv will also get the most convenient connection to the mountainous areas.
- No. 368/367 Lutsk - Uzhhorod will connect Lutsk with Lviv, Mukachevo and Chop.
- Intercity No. 747/748 Kyiv - Ternopil will run daily and provide comfortable morning and evening connections for residents of Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia and the capital.
- Intercity №745/746 Kyiv - Lviv, which guarantees the long-awaited morning connection between Lviv and Kyiv.
Popular trains of Ukrzaliznytsia, which were successful in the previous schedule, become daily: No. 5/6 Zaporizhzhia - Yasinia, No. 40/39 Zaporizhzhia - Solotvyno and the train Lutsk - Uzhhorod, which in the new schedule received a new numbering 368/367.
Improvements to schedules and routes also apply to a number of trains to popular mountain destinations as the only safe location for Ukrainians to recover and reboot. For example, train No. 25/26 Odesa - Rakhiv has a more convenient evening departure from Odesa at 18:20 instead of 14:02, and the route of train No. 357/358 Kyiv - Vorokhta will be extended to Yasinia station, where popular trips to the mountains start.
