On 4 November, on the occasion of the Railway Workers' Day, a mini-sculpture by Roman Murnik dedicated to the IDPs and all Ukrainian railway workers who helped them get to safe places was unveiled at Uzhhorod railway station.
A heavy stone suitcase made of sandstone, symbolising millions of migrants, with a forged iron handle (a symbol of the railway) and a soft children's toy "bunny" is a captured image of a moment of migrants in many railway stations around the world.
The event was attended by the acting head of the Uzhhorod railway station Olena Frantsuzova and the head of the station's trade union Svitlana Lukach, the head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Bohdana Nosa, the director of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yevhen Tyshchuk and the head of Tourinform Zakarpattia Oleksandr Koval.
This is the 53rd mini-sculpture in Transcarpathia.
