A training on the development of cycling tourism in the cross-border area of the Carpathian region was held in Uzhhorod.

Participants included tourism and project management experts, as well as local government representatives from Ukraine, Slovakia, and Poland.

"Transcarpathia needs cycling infrastructure and it is very pleasant that our neighbours - the countries of the Carpathian region - support us in this. It is also important that local government representatives are involved in the process. Together we will be able to implement the necessary projects to develop cycling in the region," said Bohdana Nosa, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.

Throughout the day, the workshop participants discussed the issues of integrated development of cycling tourism in areas with natural potential, including planning and designing cycling routes, developing eco-tourism, and attracting EU funds in the current environment and in the future.
