The Uzhhorod Skansen gathered 22 creative teams for the Christmas festival "Carols in the Old Village".

Accompanied by trembitas and the sounds of folk musical instruments, they performed traditional Transcarpathian carols and recreated Christmas stories on stage.

The artists presented authentic carols that are popular in their localities and sang in Ukrainian, Hungarian, Slovak and Romanian, informs Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

During the event, guests tasted craft gingerbread, kifliki, could buy honey, teas and various traditional souvenirs made of clay and wood, and Transcarpathian craftswomen held a masterclass on making motanka dolls.

Also, everyone had the opportunity to join a charity fundraiser to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
