On 10 August 2023, the Castle Cinema of the Mukachevo Historical Museum hosted a roundtable discussion on "Discussion of inter-municipal cooperation to create joint tourism and investment products".
The meeting was held in the format of a discussion of topics important for the development of tourism in the region between DART management, representatives of local communities and regional tourism organisations.
The discussion agenda included the following topics:
- Domestic tourism during the war and after its end, new topical areas of development;
- Challenges and opportunities for the tourism business in the region in the short and long term
- Improving infrastructure and logistics (additional trains, routes, small aircraft)
The meeting resulted in a preliminary agreement on cooperation in addressing critical issues in the development of the tourism industry in the communities and a project to develop a Local Tourism Organisation to renew cooperation between local governments, DART, business and the public.
