On Sunday, 27 August, a colourful festival, Yafina Fest, dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine's independence, took place in the village of Dubove in Tyachiv region on the square in front of the house of culture.

The event was aimed at raising funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by promoting the authenticity and tourist attractiveness of the hromada, the Dubivska hromada reported.

The festive event began with the "Prayer for Ukraine" performed by the Dubove Lyceum Choir (director: P.M. Tsuber) and the Ukrainian Anthem.

Young artists, singers and dancers of the community continued the celebration. The concert programme, full of interesting and original performances, was prepared by lyceum, gymnasium and art school students together with their mentors, as well as members of the Youth Council and groups from the cultural centres of Krasna and Dubove villages. Guests from the Bedevlyanska community, who joined the Yafina Fest festival for the first time, also presented musical greetings to the audience.

The event was hosted by the artistic director of the Dubove House of Culture, the chairman of the Youth Council Vitaliy Gorbey and a member of the Youth Council Viktoria Kustrio.

A charity fair was held on the square in parallel with the concert. Groups of kindergartens, entrepreneurs and skilful hostesses from the community presented delicacies with jafins (blueberries), the symbol of the festival. The gastronomic kaleidoscope was represented by a variety of cakes, pastries, pies, sandwiches, pizza and sushi with mountain berries, the proceeds from which will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The square also featured an exhibition of works by teachers from the School of Art, as well as presentations by the Kalynivka Lyceum and the Zakarpattia Polytechnic Vocational College.

At the end of the event, the village head Denis Kaganets presented letters of thanks and certificates to the teams and participants of the festival, as well as to volunteers and NGOs that actively support the military and help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
