In 2022, 546,702 tourists visited the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Local Lore, the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, and the Mukachevo Historical Museum.
This is reported by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
Compared to 2021, the number of visitors decreased by 14%, as well as the number of guided tours of museums (-21%).
Last year, the four largest museums in Zakarpattia conducted 2640 excursions.
To recap, in 2022, local budgets of Transcarpathia received more than UAH 19.4 million in tourist tax.
