In the first 9 months of this year, the amount of tourist tax amounted to UAH 131 million 559 thousand, which is almost UAH 131 TP3T less compared to the same period in 2021, when the budget received UAH 151 million 104 thousand.
This is reported by the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.
The decline was recorded in 11 regions of Ukraine. These are mainly the regions that were or are in the war zone and temporarily occupied. Thus, in Kherson region, the amount of tourist tax decreased by 93%, in Mykolaiv region - by 84%, in Donetsk region - by 74%, and in Luhansk region - by 73%.
There was also a significant decline in tourist arrivals in Odesa (69%), Zaporizhzhia (68%), Sumy (55%), Kharkiv (48%), Kyiv (37%) and Zhytomyr (20%) regions.

The capital, which is among the leaders in terms of tourist tax this year, has replenished its budget by UAH 25 million 874 thousand. However, compared to the same period in 2021, this amount is almost half as much.
Along with Kyiv, there are 4 other regions among the leaders in paying the tourist tax.
In the Lviv region, the amount of tourist tax increased by 126% to UAH 30 million 886 thousand, compared to UAH 13 million 660 thousand last year.
Ivano-Frankivsk region earned UAH 13 million 692 thousand, which is 92% more than in the same period in 2021, when the regional budget received UAH 7 million 135 thousand.
IN Transcarpathian region the amount of tourist tax increased by 88% and amounted to UAH 14 million 331 thousand, compared to UAH 7 million 601 thousand in 2021.
Dnipropetrovs'k region earned UAH 6 million 595 thousand against UAH 5 million 617 thousand last year. Here, the collection amount increased by 17%.
