Oleksandra Horzov, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, together with a group of tourists climbed to Lake Brebeneskul (1801 m) and conquered Hutyn Tomnatyk (2016 m), one of the two-thousand-metre peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The tour was organised jointly with the Rakhiv Hutsulshchyna Tourist Centre on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day.

"The Montenegrin massif greeted us with beautiful sunny weather and incredibly impressive views. We set off to Brebeneskul from the Lemska valley. On the way, we met the "black gold" of the Carpathian mountains - the japhene, the ruler of the Ukrainian Carpathians - the brown bear and flocks of Hutsul sheep. I am grateful to our guide Yuriy Sas for the informative and cognitive excursion," said Alexandra Gorzov.

The participants of the tour raised the flag of Ukraine over Lake Brebeneskul and arranged a photo session to commemorate the conquest of another peak - Gutyn Tomnatyk.
