On Thursday, 6 March, one of the world's largest international exhibitions, ITB Berlin 2025, ended in the German capital, attended by tour operators and agencies, as well as representatives of accommodation, transport and foreign tourist offices.
"ITB Berlin 2025 brought together a record 5,800 exhibitors from over 170 countries, attracting more than 100,000 visitors.
For three days, the Transcarpathian delegation, which included Ruslana Naturkach, Chief of Staff of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Mykhailo Haidur, Deputy Director of the Department of Ecological Resources, Marianna Gotra, Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts, Oleksandra Horzov, Head of the Marketing Department, and Olha Halushka, Chief Specialist of the Department of Destination and Resort Development, presented Transcarpathia on the international stage in Berlin, introducing everyone to the rich tourism and recreational potential of the region.

On the first day, the Mayor of Berlin paid an official visit to the Ukrainian stand Kai WegnerCoordinator of the Federal Government for the Maritime Industry and Tourism Dieter Janecek, Chief Executive Officer Messe Berlin Mario Tobias, Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili, President and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council World Travel & Tourism Council Julia Simpson, President of the German Tourism Association Deutscher Reiseverband Norbert Fiebig, as well as the first secretary of the Ukrainian Botschaft in Berlin / Embassy of Ukraine in Germany Oleksandr Honcharuk, and Mariana Oleskiv, a representative of the tourism sector at Capital European Affairs.

On the second day of the exhibition, visitors had the opportunity to taste Transcarpathian delicacies as part of the "Ukrainian local food" from Miroslava Mirelland experience the unique gastronomic flavour of the region.

On the third day, wearing branded Transcarpathian T-shirts, they presented the tourist potential of the region, its unique attractions and strengthened international relations and cooperation. A special highlight of the stand was 3D glasses from Virtual World Studiothanks to which the guests found themselves in the centre of the most popular tourist locations in Transcarpathia.


"Despite the war, foreign tourists continue to come to Ukraine, so we tell our guests about Zakarpattia, its recreational potential with its ecology, healing thermal waters, mountain resorts and rich cultural heritage. International cooperation is a key factor in supporting and developing tourism and rehabilitation initiatives in the region, so we are grateful to all international partners who visited the consolidated stand of Ukraine with words of support," said Marianna Gotra, Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.

The consolidated stand of Ukraine at the exhibition was represented by Department of Social and Economic Development and Strategic Planning, Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Department of Tourism and Promotions of the Kyiv City State Administration and Association of Incoming Tour Operators of Ukraine.
