Representatives of Ukraine and Hungary met in Budapest. The Ukrainian delegation included employees of the Kolomyia Territorial Community from Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration.
The balneology of Hungary was discussed by Mike Wallace, a Hungarian tourism expert, Eva Ruzhytska, chief medical officer of Ensana health resorts, and Viktor Marsalla, manager of Thermal & Grand Health Spa, a leading health resort in Budapest. In addition, the balneological and tourist potential of Zakarpattia was presented.
"Our goal is to join forces and exchange experience with the Hungarian side in the field of balneology. I am convinced that this will give a powerful impetus to the creation of new conditions for the development of balneology and health resorts in the tourism industry of our region," said the head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts during the meeting. Marianna Gotra.
Members of the Ukrainian delegation visited health centres specialising in the treatment of digestive and musculoskeletal disorders, and at a joint meeting with Hungarian partners focused on the possibilities of balneology in Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
The event was organised with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod.
