A draft decision on the creation of a landscape reserve of local significance - the Zakarpattia Sea Shore - with an area of 90 hectares - was sent to the regular plenary meeting of the regional council in December 2022.
This was reported by Viktor Mykyta, head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
"We involve NGOs and experts in the project implementation. We are implementing a set of measures to preserve the nature reserve in accordance with the requirements of the current environmental legislation and are taking steps to broadly involve communities in the problem of solid waste management," said Viktor Mykyta.
According to the head of the Regional State Administration, the reservoir at the Tereblya Rika HPP (Vilshany Reservoir) has every opportunity to become one of the main tourist magnets of the Zakarpattia region.
