On the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, on the territory of the ski resort Beautiful A meeting on tourist safety during this year's tourist season was held in the village of Vyshka.

The event attendees are representatives from the Regional State Administrations and the National Park. Uzhanskymountain rescuers of the State Emergency Service, ski lift owners, representatives of local hotels, and specialists from the Uzhhorod district territorial communities.

Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts Marianna Gotra emphasised to those present the priority of safety for visitors to ski resorts and spoke about cooperation with specialists from the DSNS rescue service, with whom they organise safety training for tourists and guides throughout the year.

At the same time, the Deputy Director of the Department Environmental resources of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Mykhailo Haidur and representatives of Uzhanskyi National Park emphasised the rules of conduct for tourists in forests and protected natural areas, while Ihor Kos, an inspector from the Western Interregional Department of the State Labour Service, reminded them of the safety regulations for the installation, safe operation, and maintenance of ski slopes.

Finally, the mountain rescuers of the Main The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast demonstrated how to search for victims in a snow avalanche, familiarising those present with the basic means of evacuating injured persons from ski slopes.

We would like to remind you that the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, together with the State Emergency Service, has prepared safety information materials for tourists in the Carpathians. Posters with contacts of rescue and search units in Zakarpattia and updated brochures "Tourist Safety in the Carpathians" have been placed at tourist facilities, railway stations, and information stands in various districts of the region.
