On Sunday, 9 February, the largest international exhibition of the Baltic region, Balttour 2025, ended in the Latvian capital, attended by tour operators and agencies, as well as representatives of accommodation, transport and foreign tourist offices.
The national stand of Ukraine in Riga was presented by representatives of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia, Anatoliy Kutsevol, who discussed opportunities for Ukrainian tourism in Europe with the Zakarpattia delegation.

"We are establishing ties to promote the region on the global stage, once again drawing the attention of partners to the recreational potential of Zakarpattia with its ecology, healing thermal waters, mountain resorts and rich cultural heritage. International cooperation is a key factor in supporting the tourism business and attracting investment," said Marianna Gotra, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

Over the past week, this is the second location to support Ukraine and Zakarpattia in Europe. On 2 February, during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Ukrainian School of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the tourism and investment potential of Zakarpattia was presented at an exhibition in London.

The guests of the stand examined the products made by Transcarpathian entrepreneurs and craftsmen. The exhibits included traditional gastronomy for the region: lekvar and sauces from Dolyna Teplyts, kiflyky, loaf and sweets from Mirella confectionery, palynochka, tinctures and wines from Zakarpatska Palyncharnya and Chizay, honey from Medovyi Krai, craft cosmetics from Lavandova Hora and Cosmetic Kitchen of Zakarpattia, scarves from Shpalta, beads from Olga Lovga, etc. Some of the products were sold at a charity auction to raise funds for the reconstruction of a school in the Kherson region.

During a visit to London, Marianna Gotra, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Jeffrey Hartman, Head of the Ukrainian Action charity.

The parties agreed to facilitate the implementation of the rehabilitation programme for veterans "Ukrainian Action. Heroes, which includes physical, psychological and social support for war veterans and their families.
