At the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, an online training was held for representatives of the region's territorial communities who coordinate the development of the tourism sector.

Bohdana Nosa, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, noted that such events are aimed at strengthening cooperation between all participants in the region's tourism process.
The speaker of the training on "Model of tourism development in territorial communities" was the head of "Tourinform Zakarpattya"Oleksandr Koval, lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism of Uzhhorod National University.

According to Oleksandr Koval, the main task of tourism workers in Zakarpattia in the future is to build local tourism organisations within the territorial communities.
"Each community should be interested in creating a product, events and content that would become a magnet for tourists from Ukraine and abroad. We need to work with accommodation and catering facilities, nature reserve and forestry institutions, cultural institutions, carriers, and improve transport logistics between hromadas. A separate issue is the inventory of existing and the creation of new tourist routes that may be of interest to guests," said Oleksandr Koval.
The training also discussed the safety of tourists in the mountains.
Viktor Opalenyk, deputy head of the mountain search and rescue unit of the Transcarpathian State Emergency Service, informed the community representatives about the work of his unit and key issues of tourist safety in 2022.
