On 4 May, the Academic Council of Uzhhorod National University hosted a celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Tourism and International Communications.
The festive event was attended by the Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Slovakia on Cross-Border Cooperation with Ukraine Eduard Burash, First Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Andriy Sheketa, Head of the Department of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Mariana Marusynets, Acting Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandra Horzov, Administrative Officer of the Uzhhorod City Council Ihor Fartushok, representatives of higher education institutions from Chernivtsi, Khmelnytsky, Vinnytsia, Lviv
The native faculty and its graduates working in different parts of the world, representatives of foreign tour operators with whom the faculty actively cooperates, and colleagues from the frontline congratulated the school.
The event also included an award ceremony for the winners of the best research papers on tourism and hospitality in the Treasures of the Motherland and Tasty Transcarpathia nominations. Schoolchildren participating in the competition received certificates, diplomas, gifts, and the winners received cash prizes.
