On 17 October, the Palace of Culture and Arts in Mukachevo opened a photo exhibition "The German Trace in the History of Ukraine" featuring 35 works by Mukachevo artist Natalia Rybar and renowned Ukrainian photographer Serhiy Humeniuk.
The photographs depict cultural heritage monuments, architectural structures, and sculptures from three Ukrainian cities - Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro - that Germans were involved in designing or building, the Mukachevo City Council reports.

According to the authors, the journey of this exhibition to Mukachevo from Mykolaiv was not easy. Risking their lives, Angelina Schardt, President of the Association of Germans in Ukraine, and Oleh Palash, an employee of the Development Society (Odesa), brought a collection of paintings and photographs that had been created over 17 years as part of the Meeting of Generations project to western Ukraine.

The exhibits brought from Mykolaiv are on display in two cities of Zakarpattia - Uzhhorod and Mukachevo. In addition to the works from the funds of the "Meeting of Generations" project, the exhibitions also feature household items from Angelina Shardt's personal collection of cultural and historical value.
The exhibition will be on display at the Mukachevo Palace of Culture and Arts for two weeks.
