The history and modernity of winemaking in Zakarpattia was discussed during a seminar in the Chizay tract in Berehove district. The event was attended by tourism support specialists, and the lecturers were well-known local historians, scientists and sommeliers.
In particular, writer Tetiana Literati told the guides about the history and culture of winemaking in Zakarpattia, and Oleksandr Vasylyk, Associate Professor of Wine Technology and Sensory Analysis at ONTU, introduced the creation of cognacs in the region. In turn, sommelier Vitaliy Kovach focused on the importance of the geographical indication that Transcarpathian wine received in 2024.

The seminar participants were given a tour of the Chiz Winemaker Museum and the winery, as well as a tasting of Transcarpathian winemakers' products.
