During the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Ukrainian School of the Blessed Virgin Mary in London, representatives of the Ukrainian Foundation met with a delegation from Zakarpattia Oblast to discuss joint projects to develop Ukrainian education among IDPs, rehabilitate Ukrainian servicemen in the UK, and establish new contacts for international cooperation.
On 2 February, the tourism and investment potential of Ukrainian regions was presented at an exhibition in London. The Transcarpathian region was presented by Marianna Gotra, Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
The guests of the stand examined the products made by Transcarpathian entrepreneurs and craftsmen. The exhibits include traditional gastronomy for the region: lekvar and sauces from Dolyna Teplyts, kiflyky, loaf and sweets from Mirella confectionery, palynochka, tinctures and wines from Zakarpatska Palyncharnya and Chizay, honey from Medovyi Krai, craft cosmetics from Lavandova Hora and Cosmetic Kitchen of Zakarpattia, scarves from Shpalta, beads from Olga Lovga, etc.

Cosmetics from Lavender Mountain and Cosmetic Kitchen of Zakarpattia, beaded products by Olga Lovga, scarves by Shpalta, embroidered shirts by Svarga, two vouchers to Borzhava and Teplytsia sanatoriums, as well as products by Chizay and Palynochka were the lots of a charity auction to raise funds for the reconstruction of a school in the Kherson region.
Representatives of Zakarpattia also presented in London the recreational potential of the westernmost region of Ukraine, which is currently actively developing medical tourism.
It will be recalled that a delegation from Zakarpattia established contacts with representatives of the Ukrainian Foundation of the Blessed Virgin Mary during a visit to the UK in November 2024. Then, the head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts Marianna Gotra, together with Kateryna Chyzhmar, an adviser on international cooperation of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, visited the school of Ukrainian studies opened by the benefactors in London.
