We invite tour operators and tourism service providers to share their stories of work and achievements in sustainable tourism.
Your stories are our pride, the pride of all Ukrainians and the state, motivation for business, and an example of resilience for the whole world.
The initiative is being implemented as part of of the project "Green Jobs for the Recovery and European Integration of Ukraine"which is being carried out by the All-Ukrainian Environmental Organisation "Living Planet" in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme, the International Labour Organisation, with the support of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine and other national partners.
Green jobs are those that contribute to the transition to environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable enterprises and economies. They can be created both in the tourism and hospitality sector under the condition of adhering to sustainable tourism standards, and in sectors focused on environmental protection (renewable energy, reforestation, waste recycling, etc.).
The initiative aims to demonstrate industry leadership combined with environmental responsibility and inclusive employment in a wartime context, and to promote scaling.
The best stories will be recognised, and representatives of the organisation will be invited to present at the project's final conference with donors in November in Kyiv.
Funding for the conference and the recognition of employers will be provided by the project and will not require contributions from businesses.
People's Deputies of Ukraine, heads of state authorities, representatives of the European Commission and international organisations, communities, business associations, and civil society institutions will be invited to participate in the conference.
