In the first three quarters of 2025, 21,170,000 UAH in tourist tax was paid into the local budgets of Zakarpattia Oblast, which is 40% more than in the same period of 2024.
The tourist tax paid by sole proprietors amounts to over UAH 12.2 million, while the tax paid by legal entities is UAH 8.9 million, according to the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
The largest sums of tourist tax were received by the budgets of territorial communities: Polyana – UAH 4.7 million, Uzhhorod – UAH 3.4 million, Koson – UAH 1.5 million, Barantsi – UAH 1.4 million, Mukachevo – UAH 1.1 million, Yasinya – UAH 1 million, Berehove – UAH 1 million, Pylypets – UAH 975 thousand, Vynohradiv – UAH 891 thousand, and Vyshkove – UAH 810 thousand.
Maximum growth An increase in local budget revenues for the first 9 months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024 is observed in the communities:
- Velykobereznyansk - 20 times (UAH 2.2 thousand);
- To Velykodobronsk: 14 times (27.2 thousand UAH);
- Bedevlian sky – 9 times (6.7 thousand UAH);
- Bushtynskyy - 6 times (46.1 thousand UAH);
- Rakhiv - 5 times (29.2 thousand UAH)
Taking into account the amount of tourist tax paid over 9 months and the established tourist tax rates in territorial communities for domestic tourism, it can be estimated that the number of tourist days amounted to 657,884. Tourists from preferential categories (military personnel, children under 18, and those who came for treatment with a referral) were not included in the indicator calculation.
