More than fifty schoolchildren from various districts of Zakarpattia took part in the fourth annual competition of student research papers. The aim of the competition is to identify talented young people interested in researching and popularising the region's tourism potential.

The competition was organised by the Faculty of Tourism and International Communications of Uzhhorod National University in conjunction with the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports and the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.

Jury members: Mariyana Marusynets, Director of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration; Oleksandra Horzov, Head of the Tourism Marketing Department of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, Nataliia Habchak, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and International Communications and Heads of Departments: Professor Hanna Mashika, Head of the Tourism Department, Professor Roman Korsak, Head of the Tourism and International Communications Department, and Associate Professor Ruslana Zhovtni, Head of the International Communications Department, Senior Lecturer of the Tourism and International Communications Department Oleksandr Koval, founder of the "Tourinform Zakarpattia" Tourist Information Center, Associate Professor Uliana Khanas, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism for Scientific Work.

Participants presented their projects in three sections, among the winners:

Section 1. Silverland Code: The Hospitality of the Future

All participants in the competition received certificates, leaders received commendations, and winners received diplomas and cash prizes. In addition, 12 contestants, who stood out for their creativity and original ideas for developing the tourist attractiveness of Transcarpathia, received special prizes from the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The constant organiser of the competition, the Deputy Dean for Research, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism, Ulyana Khanas, was awarded a commendation from the tourism department.
