In 2025, 31,886,000 UAH in tourist tax was paid into the local budgets of Zakarpattia Oblast, which is 37.61% more than in the same period of 2024.

The tourist tax paid by sole traders amounts to UAH 18,589.1 thousand, and the tax paid by legal entities is UAH 13,296.9 thousand, according to the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration.

The largest amounts of tourist tax went to the budgets of local communities:

  • Poliany – 6,177,000 UAH (191,000 UAH of the total figure for the region)
  • Uzhhorod – 5,082,100 UAH (16%)
  • Baranintsiv – 2,723,000 UAH (9%)
  • Kosoni – 2,344,400 UAH (7%)
  • Mukachevo – 1,937,700 UAH (6%)
  • Pylypets – 1,722,200 UAH (5%)
  • Yasini – 1,599,200 UAH (5%)
  • Vyshkova – 1,430,500 UAH (5%)
  • Berehova – 1,416,500 UAH (4%)
  • Vynohradova – 1,230,800 UAH (4%).

In total, 25,663,000 in tourist tax was paid into the budgets of these local authorities over the 12 months of 2025, accounting for over 80% of the total tourist tax collected in the region in 2025.

         The highest growth in tourism tax revenues in local budgets of Zakarpattia in 2025 compared to 2024 is observed in the communities of:

  • Bedevlian – an increase of almost 11.9 times (UAH 9.5 thousand);
  • Bustynsky – almost 6.8 times (UAH 140.1 thousand);
  • Neresnychtskiy - 6.6 (6.6 thousand UAH);
  • Velykobiyhansk – 4.6 (91.8 thous. UAH);
  • Kolochavska – 3.7 (36.9 thousand UAH);
  • Bativskyi – 3.7 (UAH 17.6k);
  • Kamiyansk - 3.5 (12.8 thousand UAH);
  • Verkhniokoropetskiy – 3.1 (26.7 thousand UAH);
  • Rakhiv – 2.9 times (UAH 65.0 thousand)
  • Yasinyanskoy – 2.5 times (UAH 1,599.2 thousand).

Given the amount of tourist tax paid over 12 months and the established tourist tax rates for domestic tourism within territorial communities, the number of tourist days can be estimated at 987,191. This calculation does not include tourists from preferential categories (war veterans, children under 18, persons with disabilities, persons arriving for medical treatment, health improvement, and rehabilitation courses).
