Representatives from around 15 Ukrainian travel agencies took part in an information and educational tour to Kosice Airport.
The event was organised by specialists from the Department of Tourism and Resorts at the invitation of the airport's management and with the support of the Ambassador of Transcarpathia to the Slovak Republic, Eduard Burash. The Head of the Apparatus of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Ruslana Naturkach, participated in the event.
Staff from travel agencies were given tours of the airport and the Aviation Museum. The operation of Košice Airport was explained by Director Tomáš Jančuš and Head of Marketing and Public Relations Juraj Tot. The Ukrainian colleagues also met with the President of the Association of Tour Operators of Slovakia, Ľudmila Masariková.

I am convinced that future cooperation between representatives of the tourism sector of Ukraine and Slovakia will have a positive impact on the development of the industry in the territories of Transcarpathia and the Košice region," said the head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts. We remind you that on January 28th, a press conference was held in Uzhhorod with the participation of the management of Košice Airport, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, as well as representatives of Ukrainian travel companies and accommodation facilities. During the event, the airport administration announced the opening of new routes, which will allow for an increase in the flow of tourists, including those travelling to Slovakia via Zakarpattia.
