The international tourism fair Târgul de Turism al României 2026 has concluded in the capital of Romania. The event, held from 12-15 February at the Romexpo exhibition centre, brought together a wide range of exhibitors from around the world – including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, and accommodation providers.
The stand of Ukraine, presented by specialists from the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration together with colleagues from Chernivtsi, was visited by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Romania Ihor Prokopchuk, Member of Parliament, President of the Union of Ukrainians of Romania Mykola-Myroslav Petretskyi, State Secretary of Romania Laurentiu Viorel Gidea, and the interim Director of the National Tourism Office of the Republic of Moldova Anna Sandra.

"The participation of representatives from Zakarpattia and Chernivtsi regions in the Romanian Tourism Fair is a valuable opportunity for the Romanian public to discover and appreciate Ukraine's tourism potential, particularly Zakarpattia and Bukovina – regions with rich cultural, natural, and historical heritage, which have real prospects of becoming attractive tourist destinations for guests from Romania and all of Europe," noted Mykola-Myroslav Petretskyi.

At the same time, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Romania, Ihor Prokopchuk, supported Ukraine's stand and discussed steps for future cooperation with representatives of the tourism sector of Zakarpattia and Chernivtsi. The Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts Marianna Gotra thanked the honorary guests for their support and invited them to discover the recreational, cultural, and natural highlights of Zakarpattia.

As well as promoting regions, participants of the Ukrainian stand were showcasing the country’s identity and introducing visitors to its gastronomy. In particular, guests were able to sample sweets. Miroslava MirellaSauces Valley of Greenhouses, Silver Lands Wine і The First Transcarpathian Palinka Distillery.

The Romanian tourism fair is a key platform for showcasing new tourist offers, packages and destinations, and its participants provide a comprehensive overview of the upcoming tourist season. It is friend international exhibition in 2026, which will showcase the tourist potential of Zakarpattia.
