Between January and July 2025, 15.3 million hryvnias in tourist tax was paid into the local budgets of Zakarpattia Oblast, which is 39% more than in the same period of 2024.
The tourist tax paid by sole proprietors amounts to UAH 9 million, while the tax paid by legal entities is around UAH 6.3 million, according to the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration.
The largest amounts of tourist tax went to the budgets of local communities:
- Polyany – UAH 3.5 million
- Uzhhorod – UAH 2.5 million
- Yasinya – £1 million
- Kusoni - 1 million UAH
- Baryshivka – 906 thousand UAH
- Mukachevo – 871,000 UAH
- Coastal – 767 thousand UAH
- Pilypets - 756,4 thousand UAH
- Vinogradova - 587 thousand UAH
- Onokivtsi - 552 thousand UAH.
Considering the tourist tax for 7 months and its rates set by territorial communities for domestic tourism, the estimated number of tourist-days is 474,304. The figure mentioned does not include tourists from preferential categories (military personnel, children under 18, pensioners, and those who arrived for treatment with a voucher).
