Representatives of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Marianna Gotra and Oleksandra Horzov, took part in the presentation of the results of the Smart Museum: Modern Forms of Presenting Cultural Heritage project in Ukraine, which took place at the Mukachevo Historical Museum.

The project was presented by coordinator Ksenia Okhotnyk, manager Yevhen Luksha, project expert on history and creation of the digital exhibition Oleksandr Shershun, and representative of the National Development Agency of the Kosice Self-Governing Region Jan Dzurđenik.

As part of the 4-year project, 4 countries - Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania - joined forces to create modern interactive exhibitions in museums.

According to the Mukachevo City Council, an area of more than 450 square metres in the lower courtyard of the Palanok Castle was renovated. An interactive space with 3D models of the castle in different eras and an exhibition room "Castle Guard" were also created in the castle, animated series about the history of the castlewhich has already been viewed by about 30,000 visitors to date, and a cinema hall with 30 seats.

The participants are convinced that the implemented projects will contribute to the promotion of cultural heritage in the neighbouring countries.
