On the eve of World Tourism Day, the winners of the competition for the best tourist souvenir of the Transcarpathian region for 2025 have been announced.
Souvenir of the region – Vasyl POLAZHYNETS (ornamental items made from recycled bottle and window glass)
Museum souvenir – Yuliia DUB (ceramic engraved pumpkins inspired by the works of Fedir Manailo)
Ethnographic souvenir – Andriana DANYLYUK (patch with Hutsul embroidery)
Community Souvenir – Hanna RUZHELA (corn husk crafts)
Event souvenir – Halyna BABUNYCH (Pysanky and pysanky making kit)
Tourist route souvenir – Oleksandr KOROZHI (Storyteller Grandpa)
Souvenir idea – Yuliia DUH (wax candle collection "Connection")
Souvenir toy – Hanna DYKUN (“Horsemen and Maiden on Horses”)
Souvenirs from the contest participants can be seen in the first week of October at the art space 'Lis' at 37 Fedyntsia Street in Uzhhorod.
It should be noted that the competition for the best souvenir from Transcarpathia is being held for the first time. The initiative, aimed at supporting the development of the region's folk arts and crafts, was launched by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration, together with the NGO "Association of Socially Responsible Tourism" and the Faculty of Tourism and International Communications of Uzhhorod National University.
