At the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, an offsite meeting was held at the Izky eco-resort with the participation of rescuers, mountain guides, representatives of local authorities and the tourism business.
The event was attended by Marianna Gotra, head of the Tourism and Resorts Department, Oleksandra Horzov and Viktoriia Kych, specialists from the Department, Mykhailo Haidur, deputy head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources, Oleksandr Gulyak, head of the mountain search and rescue unit of the Special Purpose Emergency and Rescue Detachment of the Transcarpathian State Emergency Service, and Mykhailo Povkh, representative of the Western Interregional Department of the State Labour Service.

The meeting discussed the mandatory registration of tourists when going to the mountains, safety rules for the construction, safe operation and maintenance of ski slopes, and focused on the safety of tourists during the 2024-2025 winter tourist season. They also drew the communities' attention to the importance of administering the tourist tax and transparency in the tourism business.
As part of the event, SES experts also conducted training on the evacuation of mock victims in the event of an emergency stop of a chairlift.

We would like to remind you that, at the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, tourist safety training was previously held in the region's national parks - the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, Uzhansky National Park and Enchanted Land.
