On the occasion of the World Tourism Day, which is celebrated annually on 27 September, events and celebrations were held in different districts of the region, with the participation of specialists from the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
On 27 September, the Tyvodar Lehotskyi Museum of Local Lore (Uzhhorod Castle), the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life (Uzhhorod Skansen), the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum named after Yosyp Bokshai, the Old Village Museum in Kolochava, and the Hutsul Bryndza Museum in Rakhiv held a Free Hours event. From 14:00 to 16:30, admission to the museums was free.

On the occasion of the Tourism Day, the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, Uzhok National Park, Zacharovanyi Krai and Synevyr National Parks organised an open day for their visitors.

On 26-27 September, Viktoriia Kych, a specialist of the Tourism and Resorts Department, took part in the RURACTIVE: Actions for Change in Local Communities seminar held in Synevyrska Polyana, Khust District. For two days, representatives of the public, local government and project experts worked to identify current challenges within the community, including food, infrastructure, environmental and tourism. They also got acquainted with the work of a local farm that is engaged in sheep breeding and hosts tourists in the community.

Andrii Andrusiak, a specialist of the Department of Tourism and Resorts, joined the lecture "Prospects for Tourism in Zakarpattia" held in Uzhhorod Castle. The event was held for students of various educational institutions, representatives of the Caritas charity organisation and museum guests, and the speakers were Viktor Opalenyk, chairman of the Association of Transcarpathian Tourist Support Specialists, Yuriy Slavik, a teacher, guide and historian, and Inessa Izay, head of one of the region's tour operators.

During the lecture, they stressed the importance of multifaceted cooperation between various institutions of the tourism industry, discussed the problems of attracting new personnel in this area and agreed to work together in the future on a strategy for the development of new tourist magnets in Transcarpathia.

On the occasion of the World Tourism Day, an information and educational tour of the enogastronomic highlights of the Rakhiv district was held. The event was attended by the head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Marianna Gotra, her deputy Oleksandra Horzov, head of the Rakhiv District State Administration Vladyslav Kych, head of the Yasinya AH Andriy Delyatynchuk, head of the Rakhiv Hutsulshchyna tourist centre Yuriy Sasrepresentatives of travel companies and specialists in tourist support in Transcarpathia and other regions of the country.

Head of the NGO "Kvass fill up" Alexander Shatalov introduced the tour participants to new locations and products of the craft tourist destination in Kvasy. In particular, the tourism experts visited the Rosenthal eco-farm on Vaskul, the chapel-museum of sacred art, museums of Hutsul heritage and bread, and climbed the Menchil meadow.

During the roundtable, tourism experts discussed further areas of cooperation for the development of the industry in the region and drew attention to the accessibility of facilities. The public will soon conduct a barrier-free audit of tourist locations. The tour concluded with a colourful Transcarpathian performance called Dovbush Evenings.
