On 11 April, the Uzhhorod National University hosted a training seminar on the basics of project management for representatives of local governments, territorial communities, NGOs, healthcare facilities and other municipal institutions in the region.
The event was also attended by the Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Ivancho, the Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Andriy Sheketa, the Vice-Rector of UzhNU Myroslava Lendyel, the Acting Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandra Horzov, and representatives of the Agency for Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation "Zakarpattya".

The purpose of the training workshop is to prepare for the upcoming call for proposals under the Interreg Next Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027 programme, in particular to familiarise participants with the basic concepts and tools for project preparation.

The projects under the PL-UA Programme will be implemented in five priorities: environment (promoting climate change adaptation, disaster resilience; access to water, sewerage; nature protection, pollution reduction), health (access to medical care, palliative and geriatric medicine), tourism (to be implemented in 2024), cooperation, and borders. The competition in the areas of Environment and Health will start in May.
