Museum and weaving workshop in the village of Cherna
In the picturesque village of Cherna in Vynohradiv district, there is a museum of overlapping weaving that will revive the ancient traditions of making "krovits" (paths).
The museum is unique not only for our region, it has no analogues in the whole of Transcarpathia, and its main goal is to show the diversity of local folk art and preserve the ancient traditions of weaving.
In addition to the bulkhead technique, which provides greater opportunities for creating complex geometric patterns, the boat technique with a cross-striped ornament composition was revived here.
Visitors to the museum will be able not only to see a variety of products made by folk artists, but also to try their hand at this difficult task and make a truly authentic and unique item themselves.
