Zacharovanyi Krai National Park

Zacharovanyi Krai National Nature Park is still very young, but it already holds a confident position among the main objects of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine. It was established in 2009 on the territory of Irshava district of Zakarpattia region with a total area of 6101 hectares to preserve, restore and effectively use typical and unique natural complexes of the Eastern Carpathians, which are of important environmental, aesthetic, scientific, educational, recreational and healthcare importance.

Most of the catchment area of one of the tributaries is located here

the largest river of Transcarpathia, the Tisza river. The Borzhava River, significant areas are occupied by wetlands, the upper sphagnum bog "Black Mud" where rare plants grow: insectivorous sundew, cranberries, broad-leaved fluff, black water vetch and others, preserved beech forests included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, rich biodiversity, significant historical and cultural heritage, unique rocky landscapes of the "Enchanted Valley" formed as a result of water-air erosion, original stone formations up to 100m high. The Enchanted Land lives up to its name: a truly magical place full of positive energy that evokes only warm and pure feelings.

The first time you come to the Enchanted Valley, you will be stunned by the fantastic creations of nature. Huge rocks of the most bizarre shapes are scattered around the tract. A little imagination and you will see the ruins of a castle, pyramids, animal silhouettes, dragon teeth or a human face.
