Winter Dragobrat
In the Rakhiv region, you can do more than just go skiing. You can do it from a bird's eye view. The fact is that the popular Dragobrat ski resort is the highest in Ukraine. It is located at the foot of the Stig and Bliznytsia mountains, in a picturesque area, at an altitude of 1300 - 1700 metres above sea level. The resort is located 18 kilometres from the village of Yasinya.
"Dragobrat is an ideal place for both extreme skiers and beginners. It has everything to make a skier's dream come true: magnificent views of the mountains (Chornohora and Gorgany), excellent weather and, most importantly, natural snow. It stays here from the beginning of November until the end of May. So don't be surprised when you see skiers skiing on Dragobrat in their swimsuits in the hot season. Because in May it's really cold here.
The slopes at the Dragobrat ski resort are laid out on the gentle slopes of the Stig and Bliznytsia mountains. There are no sudden changes in altitude. There are plenty of trails at the resort - not so many beginner trails, more difficult ones. They are designed for both skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. There is also an opportunity for freestyle fans. These are all sports where the main thing is not speed, but the technique of performing ski tricks. We have even arranged an international level track for such athletes.
Dragobrat guests also have a great opportunity to try a new kind of entertainment - freeride. What is it? It is skiing where there is no prepared ski infrastructure. A skier or snowboarder independently determines the route, not being within the framework of any particular ski slope. This is a hobby for professionals, for those who have experience of skiing in different ski areas. Freeride on Dragobrat is not only about extreme descents on virgin slopes, but also about excursions in the remote mountainous areas of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
From the mountains of Blyznytsia, Pervyi Zhandarm and Stig down to the bottom, there are five beautiful trails where you can make these ideas come true. Dragobrat offers recreation not only for adults. For the youngest skiers, there are special training hills where experienced instructors will help them learn to ski. There are also slides for sledging and board games for leisure. It is also possible to book tours according to an individual route, or go hiking in the mountains with a guide - believe me, there is a lot to see in the Carpathians, especially in winter.
The experience will last a lifetime. You can also just admire nature, relaxing in hotels near Dragobrat. There are plenty of them in Rakhiv district. A bathhouse, sauna, Hutsul cuisine, hot tea or mulled wine made from local wine will help you to "warm" your memories, and a "snow" disco, which is also possible at Dragobrat, can also entertain you. It is the highest in Ukraine, by the way. You won't find such winter entertainment anywhere else!
