Representatives of Ukrainian travel companies visited 14 health and recreational facilities in Transcarpathia

At the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, a promotional tour was organised for representatives of 8 Ukrainian travel companies. For five days, they visited sanatoriums and recreational facilities located in different districts of the region.

Verkhovyna Resort Medical & Wellness - is a premium medical resort located on a mountain top 15 km from Uzhhorod. It has a medical centre, a SPA complex, swimming pools, conference rooms, panoramic terraces and other facilities for recreation and relaxation.

Thermal Star health and recreation complex - a health resort in the village of Nyzhnye Solotvyno, near Uzhhorod. Its main asset is the healing thermal waters of Transcarpathia. The resort's infrastructure includes balneological rooms with modern equipment, a diagnostic laboratory, 135 comfortable rooms, its own mineral water pump room, an entertainment centre, a SPA complex with a water slide, sports grounds, saunas and baths.

Derenivska Kupil - is a dendrological health resort located in the village of Nyzhnye Solotvyno. One of the main values of the facility is silicon water from a depth of 650 metres. It combines hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and advanced technologies.

"Solva Resort & Spa - is a balneological gastroenterological health resort located at an altitude of 340 m above sea level in the village of Polyana. The complex's infrastructure includes a medical centre with modern equipment, 65 comfortable rooms, its own mineral water pump room, a SPA pool with baths and a jacuzzi.

Solnechnyi Sanatorium is a modern health centre with a well-groomed area with Hutsul-style gazebos and a lake, where recreation by the water, fishing and catamaran boating are organised. There is an outdoor swimming pool, fitness equipment, a herbal bar, a salt room and much more.

Sanatorium "Polyana" - is one of the most famous in Zakarpattia. It has its own pump room for soft alkaline mineral waters "Polyana Kupil" and "Polyana Kvasova" with a bicarbonate-boron composition. There is also a water and balneotherapy centre, as well as a medical centre with modern diagnostics, ozokerite therapy and physiotherapy.

Kvitka Polonynya sanatorium - has three mineral waters that are unique in their composition and healing properties. "Luzhanska-4, Luzhanska-7 and Polyana Kvasova are extracted directly from the wells on the territory of the sanatorium and supplied to the pump room and medical building via a mineral pipeline. About 50 effective health and wellness procedures are performed here. The 15-hectare territory of the sanatorium has a unique arboretum with exotic trees and shrubs.

Kryshtalne Dzherelo - is a modern multidisciplinary medical centre and resort hotel. The main treatment profile of the sanatorium is diseases of the digestive, endocrine, genitourinary and metabolic systems. There is an indoor aqua centre with a large swimming pool for adults, a children's pool, artificial waterfalls, a jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna and a Roman bath.

Thermal waters "Zhavoronok" - is the healing power of the springs of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The water used to fill the pools of the complex comes from wells 1200 metres deep. The complex has a wellness halo chamber - a salt room, and a Roman bath for the prevention of diseases of the cardiovascular, respiratory and endocrine systems.

Sanatorium Teplytsia pays special attention to balneology - the use of mineral waters for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes. They are used to prepare a variety of baths: both classic (iodine-bromine, coniferous, with the addition of essential oils, etc.) and those based on the latest scientific developments. The complex has swimming pools with mineral and thermal water, and spa treatments are also available.

In the sanatorium Borzhava The main profile of patient rehabilitation is mineral water treatment. We use 5 types of mineral water, which have different mineral and chemical composition and healing properties. There is a salt room, steam inhalation, thermal baths and a swimming pool.

Tourist complex "Tepli Vody" Veliatyn offers thermal baths with mineral sodium chloride, boron-bromine water with a high iodine content, as well as outdoor freshwater pools. The thermal waters of Velyatyn are extracted from a well about 1,000 metres deep and have a temperature of over 36°C.

Karpatiya sanatorium In Shayan, it is a modern medical centre with its own pump room with two types of Shayansky mineral waters. Here we treat adults and children from the age of 2, treating diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, metabolism, respiratory system, and musculoskeletal system. For those who want to improve their health or appearance, we offer spa treatments, cosmetology and wellness programmes.

Sanatorium "Gornaya Tisa" in Kvasy is equipped with fifteen baths, including four hot tubs and one pearl bath with underwater hydromassage. The main healing factor of the sanatorium is the unique mineral water of the Hirskotysynske deposit, which is extracted from its own artesian well. 

At the end of the promotional tour of Zakarpattia's recreational facilities, representatives of Ukrainian travel companies got acquainted with the craft highlights of the village of Kvasy and took part in the "traditional Hutsul Dovbush Evenings" at the Bokorash restaurant.
