A modern tourist registration and assistance centre has been opened in the Dragobrat valley in Rakhiv district, where the ski resort of the same name is located. The centre was built at the expense of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland under the Polish Aid programme.

As reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast on 24 January, the station was built using frame-panel technology and energy-efficient materials.

Here, tourists will be able to warn about their hike, get advice, and receive emergency assistance, as rescuers will not have to waste time on the way to the ski resort.

"From now on, representatives of four departments of the Rakhiv Mountain Search and Rescue Group will be on regular duty here. For their needs, the State Emergency Service handed over a tracked all-terrain vehicle and two ATVs that will facilitate movement on snowy mountain slopes to rescue lost tourists as quickly as possible," inform in the SES.

The opening was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv Eliza Dzwonkiewicz, acting Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchuk and Head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Zakarpattia Oblast Roman Hudak.
