Nine nativity scene teams from Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, Khust, Berehove, Teresva, Bushtyn and Dovhe came to Khust district to determine the best in the traditional Battle of the Nativity Scenes.
The event took place at the Pryborzhavske Lyceum. The contestants were judged by a jury consisting of Oleksandr Ryashko, rector of the Intercession Church in Pryborzhavske village, Natalia Menchuk, director of the Centre for Culture and Leisure of the Dovzhanska AH, Tetiana Getsko, director of the Borzhava Folk Choir, and Vasyl Kuzan, head of the Transcarpathian organisation of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine.
The winners of the competition were the Plast members from Uzhhorod, who will host the competition next year, for their acting talent, unique costumes and brilliant humour.
