This Sunday, 1 October, we will celebrate the Day of Defenders of Ukraine on a new date for the first time. We also commemorate the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Day of Territorial Defence of Ukraine.
The day will begin with a nationwide minute of silence. You will be able to honour our fallen defenders together at 9am on Poshtova Square (Uzhhorod).

On 30 September and 1 October, we invite citizens and guests of the city to the autumn charity fair organised by Creative Volunteers, the Movement to Support Transcarpathian Military and craftsmen and manufacturers to celebrate Teacher's Day, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and raise donations for cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Nezalezhnist Embankment (Uzhhorod).

Patriotic flash mob "United! Proud! Independent!", the participants of which will form the flag of Ukraine. The basis of the flash mob is the song composition "Let's Follow the Light" by the author and performer, teacher of the Mukachevo Marton School of Arts Oleksiy Tuluk, which he dedicated to our soldiers. The beginning is at 17.00. Location: central square of Mukachevo (near the monument to Saints Cyril and Methodius).
Also on 1 October, the Hill of Glory in Uzhhorod will honour the memory of the servicemen who gave their lives for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
