A representative of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration took part in a trilateral business forum held in Chernivtsi on 6-7 July.
The event brought together delegates from Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, as well as specialists from various industries in Zakarpattia, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne regions.

Over the course of the two days of the forum, the participants discussed many important issues related to finding new ways of socio-economic, political and regional cooperation aimed at expanding and strengthening cross-border relations. One of the topics of the panel discussions was tourism - "Tourism as a factor in the development of cross-border economic cooperation".

"Tourism is one of the most important areas of development in Zakarpattia and an integral part of the region's economic sector. Like every industry, tourism faced many challenges during the war. Given this factor, the team of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration pays great attention to the stabilisation and development of all areas of tourism. Therefore, the forum organised in Chernivtsi is a much-needed initiative that provides an opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues from both Ukraine and abroad. I am very grateful to the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine for the opportunity to attend the event."Victoria Kich said.

The event was organised by the Chernivtsi OBA, the United Nations Development Programme and partners within the framework of the project "Supporting Inclusive Economic Development in Ukraine by Linking Export Promotion with Regional Development and the Sustainable Development Goals", funded by the German Government.
