On 4 May, at the initiative of the Transcarpathian Tourist Organisation, a meeting was held with the participation of Oleksandra Horzov, Acting Head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Vladyslav Kych, Head of the Rakhiv District State Administration, Yuriy Sas, Head of the Tourist Information Centre of the Rakhiv District, Oleksandr Shershun, Head of the Association of Tourist Support Specialists of Transcarpathia, representatives of local communities, institutions and service providers in the tourism sector of the Rakhiv District.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the most pressing challenges facing the area's tourism industry during the war. Among the issues discussed were: agreeing on a procedure for tourist groups to cross border posts, a possible ban on visiting forests in the summer, repairing access roads to popular hiking routes, banning jeeping in the mountains, etc.

"The Department of Tourism and Resorts is always open to all representatives of the tourism industry of the region. We will continue to promote all tourist locations in the Rakhiv district and provide support in developing new routes in this fascinating mountainous region of Transcarpathia," said Oleksandra Horzov, acting head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

The participants of the meeting agreed to further coordinate efforts to resolve all issues that will arise in the tourism industry of the district.
