On 22 December, a roundtable discussion was held in Uzhhorod as part of the project "Barrier-free society as an element of mutual respect between people and a guarantee of community development" to create a working group on the development of inclusive space in the regional centre of Zakarpattia.
The event was attended by project managers and experts, including Andriy Matseliukh, director of the Lviv Tourism Development Association, Yaroslav Hrybalskyi, chairman of the board of the NGO Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, Oleh Kyrylenko, director of the Uzhhorod Rehabilitation Centre Way of Life, and representatives of local authorities, including Vadym Borets, deputy mayor of Uzhhorod, Oleksandra Horzov, deputy head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration, Oleh Borshovsky, chief architect of Uzhhorod, and Oleksandr Kryshovskyi, acting director of the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration.

The project in Uzhhorod will result in public audits of the accessibility of the city's main tourist attractions - 5 cultural and historical monuments - and their inclusion in an interactive map, an inclusive website and a guide for the blind and visually impaired.

Last week in Lviv, tourism experts from Volyn, Zakarpattia, Lviv and Rivne regions took part in a training course and participated in the international conference "Accessibility of tourism, hospitality and recreation services in communities for people with limited mobility".
