According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the international service Mukachevo - Chop - Cierna nad Tisou - Kosice will be restarted on 11 December 2022. This will help connect a convenient hub in Zakarpattia with one of the largest airports in Slovakia.
Daily train schedule:
Train 960/961 Kosice - Mukachevo. Departure from Kosice is at 8:46, arrival in Mukachevo is at 14:00. In the opposite direction, from Mukachevo, the train will depart at 14:48 and arrive in Kosice at 18:17.
Train No. 962/963 Kosice - Mukachevo will depart from Kosice at 11:46 and arrive in Mukachevo at 16:53. In the opposite direction, from Mukachevo, the train will depart at 18:16 and arrive in Kosice at 21:33.
The routes will run through Chop station: in the direction of Mukachevo - at 12:00 and 14:51, in the direction of Kosice - at 16:13 and 19:26. This will allow passengers from different parts of the country to conveniently change trains to/from Kosice:
For those travelling in the direction of Kyiv, trains №60 Chop - Kyiv (departure from Chop at 13:52, arrival in Kyiv at 7:44) and №81 Uzhhorod - Kyiv (departure from Chop at 16:58, arrival in Kyiv at 8:23);
For those travelling abroadThe train №45/46 Kharkiv - Uzhhorod (via Kyiv) will be suitable - it departs from Kharkiv at 13:43, from Kyiv at 23:15, and arrives in Chop at 14:18.
