To fully experience the ethnic flavour of our region, the Ungvarsky Hotel's ethno-wellness centre has restored an old tasting room, where you can feel the atmosphere of nineteenth-century Uzhhorod, learn more about the history of winemaking, beekeeping, cheese-making and much more.
The tasting room at Ungvarsky offers tasting of Transcarpathian wines. Among the local wines, dry white wines are particularly famous, namely Riesling Rhine, Riesling Italian, Leanka, Traminer, and Müller Turgau. Red wines are less common and are represented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The specificity of Transcarpathian wines depends on mountainous landscapes, excessively moist soil, and the number of sunny days in the Carpathians. During the tasting, we offer: 6-8 varieties of red wines, 6-8 varieties of white wines or a mixed tasting tour. In addition to the classic Transcarpathian wines, the tasting room has a collection of dessert white and red wines, as well as home-made wine from Transcarpathian owners.
The hall offers simultaneous accommodation for up to 15 guests. Orders for tasting are accepted from 10 guests.
