Exhibition of folk art masters "The Source of Traditions"

On 4 October, the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life hosts an event organised by the Regional Organisational and Methodological Centre of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional Council. Masters of folk art from different parts of Transcarpathia will present their works at the exhibition "Source of Traditions".

Those who visit the museum on this day will be able to touch the treasures of the intangible cultural heritage of our region. The exposition will feature works by masters working in various types of applied folk art - carvers, weavers, embroiderers, ceramics, wickerwork and beadwork...

Visitors to the museum will meet Uzhhorod embroiderers Olena Sigetii, Olena Vash, Anna Haiduk, and Olena Baloh from Chaslivtsi of the Surtivska community. The ceramic panel will be exhibited by the famous master Natalia Stehura from the regional centre. Hanna Haiduk from Irshava district will come with traditional dolls. Fluffy Huns from the village of Richka, Pylypets community, will be presented by weaver Khrystyna Hychka, and artistic woodwork by carvers Mykhailo Kinch from Mizhhiria and Vitalii Kinch from Uzhhorod. Hanna Dykun from the village of Vyshkovo in the Vyshkivska Hromada will demonstrate corn weaving. The palette of works by folk artists will also be enriched by the well-known wickerworkers from the village of Iza of the Khust community.

These and many more masters will not only demonstrate their products, but also tell about themselves. So we invite all fans of folk art to the Skansen for the opening of the exhibition, which will take place at 16.00.
