This is the sixth exhibition of the Rid Ethnofoundation, having previously been exhibited in Kramatorsk, Kolomyia, Kalush, Halych and Dolyna.
The exhibition will introduce visitors to the history and culture of Slobozhanshchyna. Ancient home icons, household items, embroidered towels, full folk costumes, wreaths, jewellery, old photos... In total, several hundred authentic, unrestored, uncopied antiquities from the private collection of Oksana Proselkova, a resident of Kramatorsk and a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature, will be available for viewing by residents and guests of Uzhhorod.
All of these items belonged to the indigenous inhabitants of Slobozhanshchyna (Kharkiv, Poltava, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions). The exhibits date from the late 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
The collection was evacuated in May 2022 from Kramatorsk to Prykarpattia, where it is now stored.
We invite everyone to visit the exhibition and touch the history of our Ukraine
